Shawn A. Monroe
Attorney at Law
Shawn A. Monroe comes to Fay, Farrow & Associates, P.C. with a wealth of courtroom and trial experience, and concentrates his practice in family law. This includes cases involving divorce, allocations of parenting time and parental responsibilities, child support, maintenance, high conflict divorces, high net-worth and complex asset divisions, domestic violence, post-decree modifications and orders of protection. His diverse legal background also includes experience in criminal law, DCFS and civil court appeals, and negotiating union collective bargaining agreements.
Shawn is an aggressive but compassionate advocate for his clients, and believes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to divorce or parenting cases. He takes great pride in working to find personally-tailored solutions to each client’s unique case and circumstances, and strives to ensure that clients feel heard, and are educated about the legal processes involved, as well as their respective rights, options and the potential financial impacts of litigation.
Because of his extensive background, Shawn is uniquely qualified to help clients navigate the most complex family law matters, from those with challenging financial issues, to divorces and parenting cases with allegations of domestic violence, orders of protection and criminal complaints.
Shawn represents clients throughout the counties of DuPage, Cook, Will, Kane, Kendall, McHenry, Kankakee, DeKalb and Lake. He was licensed to practice law in California in 2006 and Illinois in 2008.
